The Hach Student Life Center is a single story 63,000 square-foot intramural recreational building incorporating new student recreation and health and well-being facilities.

The walls of the gym contain many glass blocks (over 550) which will let in light but not glare and the light shining out in the evening will "sparkle" around the gym and through the surrounding woods. A four-lane, 1/8 mile running track encloses the three intramural basketball courts with wood floors.

Two locker room areas complete with showers and a sauna in each are located off the gymnasium area. A hallway leading from the gym will access a meeting room and offices with a view of the football practice fields. At the far end of the gym is another entrance to the aerobic and dance room which also has a wood floor.
