LEXINGTON LANSING HOTEL
Lansing MI
In the late fall of 2008, as employees of Dow Howell Gilmore Associates, Inc. Don Koster and Dave Keyser were asked to provide a design, under a predetermined budget, for improvements to the Sheraton Hotel in Lansing Michigan. Included in the scope of the program was a complete renovation of the 5 story lobby, a new revolving door to address air infiltration problems, re-landscaping the front turn-around island, and improvements to the existing porte cochere’.
The hotel had already made the decision to convert the facility to the Lexington collection brand. That conversion needed to be completed by July 1, 2009. Renovations also needed to be completed by that time to give the facility a new look to accompany the new name. The Christman Company was preselected as the construction manager for the project and the design team worked closely with them to develop a design that would fall within the budget and schedule.
